Solvent Degreasing



The process of industrial degreasing in closed circuit with solvents represents the ideal technology for applications where the goal is to achieve quality treatment along with the economy's performance and repeatability of results.
The equipments are available in standard and special version, operating with chlorinated solvents, aliphatic hydrocarbons, hydrofluorcarbons, bromides and HFE.
Particularly effective in complex pieces with complicated geometries, blind holes, through holes, welds, etc...That can be achieved through repeated steps of sprinkling and spraying, immersion, and vapor phase.
The solid particles of dirt such as powders, swarfs and inorganic salts are effectively removed successfully by a cleaning action combined with selected movements of the baskets.
Layers of burned oil and other solids contaminated (oxides and polishing pastes) deposited on the components require the action of ultrasound which can be adapted as requested.

The main advantages of this solvent degreasing system:

• Negligible emissions to the environment (much lower than the limit specified in normative VOC 13/99);
• Saving more than 90% of solvent when compared with the open system of tanks;
• Exceptional results of washing and drying (possible application in the medical sector, aerospace, electronics and precision industries)
• Total removal of all types of waste (grease, swarfs, wax, foundry sand, etc.).

• Washing with clean solvent and distilled at each cycle (constant quality washing);
• Drying in clean and hermetic environment ;


The solvent equipment FIRBIMATIC production, divided between models that use solvents chlorates bromurates (range MD-V, SF-V, E-V), models that use the aliphatic hydrocarbons high flash-point - Class A3 (MDK and SFK range) and models that use special solvents (hydrofluorocarbons, etc..).
Solvent choice and so the relative equipment for washing and degreasing will be on function of grain affinity with the same solvent to the contaminant to be removed, though dependent on the nature of the material which constitutes the piece.

FIRBIMATIC proposed equipment, totally personalised of high flexibility: the range SF-V and E-V, for chlorinated solvents or by hydrocarbons (K series), are provided with a unique chassis door-basket of large dimension (on request until 1.500x3.000xh1.500 mm) and are adapted for large pieces.
In the other hand, the models of MD and MDK series, of multiple basket, are adapted for high productivity demands. According models can be had options of ROTATION, TILT, or BASKET OSCILLATION.

There is also the possibility of degreasing by sprinkling at high pressure, immersion in hot and cold baths (partial or total) and ultrasound treatment.
Washing and rinse by spraying, immersion and vapor phase solvent. Ultra filtration rinse phase to 5 microns. Vacuum drying or air recirculation. Also is possible a later stage of pieces passivation with special additives for long-life of the pieces.
